I’m super excited about my new study guide, which will be available on Monday. It’s a collection of all of our best Pathology Student stuff on hematopathology and coagulation. It covers topics that I’ve had a lot of questions on over the years I’ve been teaching, like how to read a blood smear, how to differentiate between different types of anemia, what the similarities and differences are between the myeloproliferative disorders, how to diagnose an acute leukemia, and why we need both the intrinsic and extrinsic pathways of coagulation. Plus there are a lot of quizzes to test yourself with.

It’s a lot like our Anatomic Pathology Compendium and General Pathology Compendium only it covers hematopathology topics. It’s nicely designed (if I do say so myself) and easy to read, whether you keep it in ebook form or use it as a printed book. At 250 pages, it’s quite a bit more extensive than our other compendia (which are around 90 and 170 pages) – but it’s still easy to navigate because it’s organized carefully by topic and question. There are some new essays and quite a few new photos, too.

I’ve been working on it for a long time and I can’t wait for you to see it!
