I’m happy to announce the newest member of our growing family of study guides: the General Pathology Compendium. I created this book because the Anatomic Pathology Compendium made a lot of people happy, and it seemed logical to have a partner book geared towards general pathology. So: the General Pathology Compendium is a collection of all of Pathology Student’s best and most popular posts on general pathology topics, redesigned and put into a package that’s easy to read and accessible anywhere.

Just like the Anatomic Pathology Compendium, this book is basically a really sweet re-design of the general pathology portion of Pathology Student, and I want to be clear about that. But although you could search for and organize most of this information yourself, I think the ebook is valuable for a number of reasons.

  • It’s convenient. No surfing, or digging through archives, or copying and pasting stuff into a word document.
  • It’s portable. You can take it with you and read it anywhere – on the bus, in the car, waiting in line – with no need to find wifi access.
  • It’s readable. It’s easier and quicker to read articles in a book-style format than it is in a website-style format. And it looks just as good printed out as it does on the screen.
  • It’s nicely designed. The essays have been redesigned and curated in a simple, clean, uncluttered format that’s easy on the eyes.

General Pathology Compendium contains 29 student-question-centered essays on difficult pathology topics in the following organ systems:

  • Neoplasia
  • Cytogenetics
  • Molecular pathology
  • Immunology
  • Transfusion medicine
  • Transplant pathology

Plus, there are several essays on the best resources and plans for studying pathology.

Drop me a note and let me know what you think. I hope you find it convenient and useful!
